Israel Kids Recommends for the Week of Chol Hamoed
, Apr 06, 2012These are some of the activities we recommend for chol hamoed this year. If you know of any other great activities, share your ideas in the comments below. For ideas for hikes and outings, try checking out that section on our blog. Wishing everyone a Happy Pesach!
Try the "Journey of Exodus on the Farm", which takes place at Ganei Yehoshua. Featuring bird watching, ancient pottery, petting zoo, and much more.

"House for Rent", a story by Leah Goldberg, will be playing at the Tel Aviv Musuem of Art. I'd definitely take my kids to that, and see the museum at the same time!
Seeing a play at Na Lagaat, a Theater for blind and deaf actors, was the most moving experience I've ever had sitting in an audience. It's not for the younger crowd, but can be great for age 7 or 8 and up.

If you haven't gone to Jerusalem on Ice- then go!! Ice skating rink, sculptures, and who can beat seeing snow and ice in the middle of the spring!
Take your kids to the Bible Lands Museum for an interesting crafts workshop. Kids make moses in a basket, an Egyptian Theater doll or clay sculpture. Museum entrance is Free.
My personal favorite is the Ein Yael Museum- lots of fun for kids and adults alike! And the weather this time of year is perfect, making it so enjoyable to be outdoors!

Kenyon Renanim (Raanana) does kids crafts so well. You think it's going to be a balagan, but there are such great crafts and lots of helpers on hand, it's a great idea if you want to stay local.
If you are venturing into the center of the country, and your kids love animals, try the Goose Garden at Moshav Gan Hayim. You can hold the animals and see a live hatching (not for young kids).

If you are going to Haifa, try the flower festival, which has a gorgeous display of flowers from all over the world!
Happy Pesach from Israel Kids!!
